Kiosk: EZ Pass Explanation

Modified on Tue, 14 May at 11:12 AM

When a driver checks in on the Kiosk with only partial or incorrect information, an EZ Pass will print instead of an actual outbound check in sheet. The EZ Pass Sheet will print off without a barcode and a message to see PSI Dispatch.

The sheet will have some of the information on it so that the PSI Dispatcher does not have to re enter everything into the load schedule. If the driver selected something incorrect, it will list what the driver selected different than what is entered in the Load Schedule. If a driver hands a material handler an EZ Pass, the material handler should instruct the driver to go to the shipping office to clear up any potential issues.

EZ Pass Check IN Step by step on Kiosk:

If driver checks in early or late:

Program w0361 and should display a refusal message telling the driver they are so many minutes early or late and will not arrive the truck in.

IT Use Only:

If App Attr Plant8CreateOutboundAppt is turned off (Uncheck the Logical Value box):

In the Load Schedule, on the Load ID you have selected has a scac code of PRSP, CPUP, CCCC or CUST and there is not a load appointment scheduled, the driver can check in on the Kiosk with the Load ID number and knows the destination city. The driver will be prompted to enter the truck number and other info as they continue the check in. Upon completing Check In, a Load Appointment will be created immediately for the time the driver completed the check in on the kiosk and the load will be shown as checked in or arrived. The EZ Pass will print off for their load check in sheet. Make sure the EZ Pass Sheet displays the Load number and displays correct information matching the load.

If App Attr Plant8CreateOutboundAppt is turned on (Check the Logical Value box):

In the Load Schedule, on the Load ID with any scac code entered and there is no load appointment scheduled, it must meet these requirements below to get an EZ Pass and create an automatic load appointment. The driver can check in on the Kiosk with the Load ID number and knows the destination city.

If the PSI Plant does not have the App Attr Plant_CreateOutboundAppt created:

In test when I deleted this App Attr, it acted like the rule was turned on. I entered TIWO# 88925 to fix this so that if there is no App Attr Plant_CreateOutboundAppt created, it will not use the EZ Pass check in at all.
