Modified on Tue, 5 Nov at 8:09 AM

Kiosk Carrier Messages:

Users can add, delete or edit the Safety Message only (not the other messages on the screen) on the Kiosk for Inbound and Outbound loads.

Instructions:

  1. In iGenesis, under the Maintenance Module, click on the Message Setup screen.
  2. In the filter, add a parameter of Trigger and filter by 1 of these 2 triggers:

8 (Inbound Truck Checkin): A message will display when a driver is checking in using the kiosk.

(Outbound Truck Checkin): A message will display when a driver is checking in using the kiosk.

  1. After applying the filter, it will display the user all of the Messaging Setup for the trigger that it is filtered.
  2. If there is Messaging Setup already for that Trigger, the user can double click on the message to get the details.
  3. The user can edit or delete the existing message.
  4. If the user selects the New Message button, the user can set up a new message.

IT Use Only:

Choice Field 604 controls the Messaging Triggers. Click on Choice Field 604 and click on Values 8 or 9 to see the Inbound or Outbound Kiosk messaging data.

Attribute Key (App Attr) KioskDynamicMessageTimes controls the amount of time the Safety Message will display to the nearest millisecond.

All Messages for Kiosks are stored in a word file called Kiosk Carrier Messages with the date it was last modified. This file can be found: J:\Genesis\Release Training\MISC . Please update this file if you change or add a message.
