SCAC Code Maintenance: Details & Images tab

The Details tab is where the PSI Associate will enter the details about the outside carrier. If is a Precision Strip Approved Carrier (a carrier approved that we broker freight to), Transport HQ will enter most of the parameters and store the carrier contract and updated insurance certificates in the Images tab for legal purposes. It is important the Transport HQ enters as much of this info as they can for the PSI approved carrier, especially an email address if they want the email alert to fire off 60 days prior to the carrier's insurance expiring. 

Scac Code Maintenance: Insurance Expiration Date information:

For Precision Strip Approved Carriers (carriers that we broker freight), it is important to have the correct Insurance Certificate Date and correct email address entered in for the highlighted scac code in order to receive the expiration emails so that Precision Strip can keep the updated certificate of insurance.

IT information only:

The email message is maintained in the Application Attribute Registry (w0015) (App Attr) from Attribute Key: CertOfInsuranceEmail . Cron Job 1885, Transport Exp Notify runs program t0639 every Monday morning at 4am to go through all the scac codes that have expiration dates or no insurance expiration dates entered to a scac code that has an email address entered.

The email reminder will send when it is exactly 60 days from expiration.

Then send a 2nd notification email at exactly 30 days from expiration.

Finally, an email reminder will send every day once it is <= 14 days to expiration.
