The iGenesis Dock Guide Screen was released January 22, 2025 in Genesis Release 8.2.5 to provide material handlers in Dock Areas the ability to see a list of upcoming shipments by the earliest scheduled ship date and time, similar to airport terminal displays. Material handlers can view the screen to manage staging for upcoming loads for Doors/Docks assigned to that Dock Area maintained in the Dock Maintenance screen. The display will function similarly to the Screen Cloud program used in breakrooms and has no user interaction.

On June 11, 2025 in Genesis Release 8.3.0, the Dock Guide was enhanced.

Rules & User Information as of June 11, 2025 Genesis 8.3.0 Release

Will display all PRSP loads from earliest Ship Date and Time ascending for docks and doors assigned to the Dock Maintenance Area ID. Once trucks are arrived in (or in a future enhancement, enter the GeoFence), the load will be placed at the top of the list sorted by Arrival Date and Time.

If there is a Load Appointment Scheduled, the appointment date and time will replace the Ship Date and Time. Non scheduled Non-PRSP loads will not display. (Genesis 8.3.0 Enhancement)

If a user has loads that they do not want to display on the monitor, they can open the Load Schedule, Load Details box and update to a future Ship Date and Time. They can also remove the Dock assignment in the Load Details until they want to see the Load listed in the Dock Guide.

If a load has more than 3 parts assigned, it will display a … after the 3rd listed part on the screen indicating there are more parts assigned.

If a Part or Parts or mark required, it will display before the unrequired parts.

Color Codes:

Green: the load is arrived

Red: the load has been arrived longer than 60 minutes and not loaded.

Future Development:

Blue: Unarrived Loads assigned to PRSP trucks where the PRSP truck has crossed the Geo Fence at that plant.

IT Specifications and Set Up:

  • The monitor will need to have a browser (Google Chrome or similar) set as a startup program with whatever argument is necessary to have it boot in full screen mode.
  • For Chrome, this is "--start-fullscreen".
  • The browser will need to have its homepage set to: "https://prodgenesis.precision-strip.com:8891/igenesis/shipping/dockguide/XXYY"
  • XX = the plant ID (with a leading zero if < 10) and YY = the Area Bay ID (with a leading zero if < 10).
  • On navigating to this URL, iGenesis will automatically authenticate using generic, low access credentials.
  • Following these steps, the screen will run without any user interaction required. It will automatically refresh the data displayed at five minute intervals and automatically bootstrap itself if the computer restarts.
  • For example, the last 4 numbers of the weblink would be 0203. The 02 would be for plant 2. The 03 would be for area 3. In the Genesis Dock Maintenance screen (IT screen only), Doors 31, 32 & 33 are assigned to Area/Bay 3.
  • For this weblink https://prodgenesis.precision-strip.com:8891/igenesis/shipping/dockguide/0203 , only loads that are assigned to Doors 31, 32 and 33 will display from earliest ship date and time up to 25 rows in ascending order.
