Subject: Important Reminder: System Impact During Daylight Savings Time Change

This weekend marks the daylight savings time change. At 1:59 a.m. on Sunday, the system clock will automatically move back one hour, and the 1:00 a.m. hour will repeat.

If your plant will be operating during this time, please be aware that this time change can cause issues for lines performing “Begin Coil” or “Begin Order” functions. When the 1:00 a.m. hour repeats, line log records may become out of sequence.

To avoid problems, please ensure your weekend leadership team reminds operators not to perform any “Begin” functions during the repeated 1:00 a.m. hour.

Once the time change has fully occurred (after the second 1:05 a.m.), it will be safe to resume normal operations. Other system activities (such as creating mults or weighing packages) are allowed, but it’s best to minimize computer activity during the transition period if possible.

If you experience any issues, please contact IT HELP for assistance.

Let me know if you have any questions.
