Width Measurement Entry Rules

1. No measurement is needed if the part width is less than 3 inches.
2. No measurement is needed if the Spec Package Wrap is in the following list:
   • Stretch Rope
   • Blue VCI Bag
   • Shrinkwrap Plus
   • Black Bag
   • Tin Can Wrap
   • Air Packaging
   • Vessel Packaging
   • Export - Double Stretch Rope
   • Export Corus - No Spacers
   • Novelis Mexico Export - Coil
   • Export Package (Standard)
   • Corrugated Wrap & Paper Shroud
   • Export Corus - Spacers
   • Export - Stretch Rope
   • Export Package Skid w/ Top
   • Export - Stretch Rope & Secure
   • Export Package (Homosite On Skid)
3. No measurement is needed if the inventory was processed on an order with Process Code 59 (scroll).
4. No measurement is needed if the inventory condition code is "Secondary (3)".

Width Tolerance Rules

1. Middletown Plant & Cliffs Middletown (Owner 55):
   • Low Width Tolerance = Part Width (no negative tolerance)
   • High Width Tolerance = Part Width + 1 inch
2. If the coil has a spec:
   • Low Width Tolerance = Part Width - Spec’s Negative Width Tolerance
   • High Width Tolerance depends on the Spec Package Wrap:
     • If the Spec Package Wrap is in the following list or the spec indicates the coil has an OD Protector, then:
       • High Width Tolerance = Spec’s Positive Width Tolerance + 1 inch (for wrapped material)
     • List of Package Wraps that Increase High Width Tolerance:
       • Cardboard Wrap
       • Paper Wrap Package
       • Paper Each Cut
       • Full Paper Wrap - No Logo
       • Paper Cap / Top and Sides
       • Full Paper Wrap
       • Paper Wrap - No ID Liner
       • Paper Wrap - With an ID Liner
       • Winter Wrap
       • Paper Wrap - Cardboard Skip & Top
       • Shrink Wrap Plastic Bag on Mat
       • Stretch Wrap
       • Stretch Rope
       • Cardboard Donut
       • Cardboard on Skid
       • West Coast Wrap
       • Cardboard Top & Bottom
       • Cardboard & Plastic
       • Full Paper or Plastic Wrap
       • Double Stretch Wrap
       • Coil Master
       • Special Coil Paper (Plastic)
       • Stretch Rope & Secure
       • Paper Wrap Over Paper Cap
       • Full Paper Wrap + Plastic
       • Stretch Wrap & Secure
     • If the Package Wrap is NOT Paper Wrapped and the coil does NOT have an OD Protector, then:
       • High Width Tolerance = The greater of:
         • Spec’s Positive Width Tolerance or 
         • 0.125 inch (bare material tolerance)
3. If the coil does NOT have a spec:
   • Low Width Tolerance = 0
   • High Width Tolerance = 0.5 inches
